When you choose The Beechmont bed and breakfast inn in Hanover, PA, for a Pennsylvania vacation, we think you are in for a wonderful time. Our lodging has just a few policies that we think you will agree are quite fair and that make travel more pleasant for all our guests.

Reservations and Cancellations: When a guest reserves a room at The Beechmont, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room you select, and, you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you stay. Because of our size and location, cancellations affect us significantly; therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. If a cancellation is made less than fourteen (14) days prior to the arrival date (up to 30 days for group bookings, special events and holidays), or if you are a "no show," you will be responsible for the entire amount of the reservation as the room was held specifically for you. There are no refunds for delayed arrivals or early departures. The only exceptions are if the airports you are traveling through are closed or the state police along your travel route are recommending that people stay off the roads due to very bad weather. Otherwise, we expect you to honor your reservation. Travel insurance is available through a third party to cover you for unexpected events.

Refunds: A refund of your deposit minus a $20 bookkeeping fee will be made if a cancellation notice is received at least 14 days prior to your arrival date.

Minimum Stays: We maintain a two-night minimum stay on weekends April through November (Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday). Some special events may require a three-night stay. Occasionally we will have a single Saturday night open when a room is booked Wednesday through Friday nights, and Sunday and Monday, thereby creating a single Saturday night. Please call our toll-free number and inquire.

Rates: Rates quoted are for one or two people occupying a room. Arbor View and Hawthorne can accommodate a third person at an additional $25 per night.  6% Pennsylvania sales tax and 3% York County hotel tax are added to guest statements.

Confirmations: Reservations can be secured with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, or a personal check in the amount of one night's stay.

Groups: Couples traveling together that book three or more rooms will require a one-night deposit that is non-refundable and a thirty-day cancellation period. Groups booking a majority of rooms will have a 50% non-refundable deposit due upon making the reservation; payment in full is due sixty days prior to arrival. All group deposits are to be made by check.

Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: Please be sure to tell us about food allergies, food restrictions, and things you cannot eat for breakfast when you make a reservation.

Check-in: 3 pm – 8 pm, Checkout: 11 am. If you anticipate arriving after 8 pm, please call ahead so we may explain our check-in procedure for a late arrival.

Guest parking is available in the rear of the inn. Park and follow the signs to the rear entrance on the porch with the wicker furniture and welcome sign. Please ring the doorbell.

The Beechmont Inn provides a smoke-free environment for the comfort of all guests. Smoking is permitted outdoors only, regardless of weather. Those who disregard this request and smoke inside the inn will be asked to leave without refund. Up to $250 will be charged for cleaning and airing the room, as well as an extra night's charge, if necessary, in order to make the room acceptable for incoming guests.

Well-mannered children over six are welcome.

We regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

Please note: guests are welcome to use our gas-log fireplaces when cool weather and snowy days have arrived. Please do not expect to have them on when the weather outside is sizzling (or even balmy!).  When daytime temperatures are above 70 on a regular basis, gas fireplaces will be turned off.
